Alpha's most enduring style and an iconic piece of fashion history! This is a 1959 MA-1 flight jacket, known as a 'B' model. This contract, made by Excel Garment Co retains the early green lining that would be replaced in 1960 by the now iconic emergency orange lining. It would be one of the last contracts made with this configuration. This is a heavy-weight flight jacket and has a thick wool lining plus knitted cuffs & collar, designed to keep pilots warm in cold weather and when flying at high-altitude.
